Thomas Simpson accepted Christ as his Savior as an eight-year-old missionary kid in Ghana, West Africa. He claimed Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Today his evangelistic ministry is based out of Grace Baptist Church in Harrisonburg, VA, under the leadership of Pastor Mark Mays.
At the age of 14, Thomas sensed the Lord’s directing to full-time Christian service and surrendered his life to do whatever God would have him to do. God has confirmed the call to be an evangelist through His Word and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Realizing the need for preparation, he enrolled in Ambassador Baptist College in the fall of 2016. In his time at school, God provided avenues to serve in local churches through their bus programs, children’s ministries, Sunday school classes, soul winning outreaches, and music departments.
Between school semesters, God provided opportunities such as Neighborhood Bible Time, camps, and music tour groups to give firsthand experience with itinerant ministry. Counseling at Camp Joy ignited his desire to reach people with hope and help from God’s Word.
In the spring of 2020, Thomas interned at Hillsdale Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. There he assisted the pastoral staff, helped in the Christian school, worked with all age groups, and gained valuable insight into the operation of a local church.
He received his Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Evangelism and Second Man Music from Ambassador and finished his Master’s with an emphasis in Sacred Theology in 2022. He is thankful for the investment of experienced men and women of God who have poured their lives into his.
God has burdened his heart to be an encouragement to pastors; to seek the Lord for revival in local churches, camps, and schools; and to see souls saved and lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
