I am happy to recommend Thomas Simpson as a faithful servant of the Lord.  We have been blessed by his ministry at our church and in our youth camp ministry.  He is a thorough preacher with a genuine heart for people.  His passion for the Lord is infectious and inspiring.

It was my privilege to get to know Thomas over the course of several months as he served as a pastoral intern at our church here in Lexington, North Carolina.  Our people quickly grew to love him because of his genuine love for them.  He faithfully served in everything from our children’s services, to youth activities, to music ministry, to gospel outreach endeavors.  We are grateful for the Lord’s calling upon his life for evangelism as we are confident he will be a great blessing and encouragement to any ministry that allows him the opportunity to partner with them for the cause of Christ.  Thomas has demonstrated a servant’s heart, a joyful attitude, and a fervent spirit in the Lord’s work here at Reedy Creek, and I am convinced he will do the same at your church, school or camp ministry as well.

It is with great joy that I recommend Evangelist Thomas Simpson for local church ministry. Brother Thomas was a vital part of our Vacation Bible School here at New Hope Baptist Church. There was a wide range of ages and backgrounds of children present; however, with his experience in the youth ministry, he was able to connect with each child on their individual levels. He also was a tremendous encouragement and challenge to our adults. He is deeply committed to sharing the Gospel and pointing people to Christ. I believe with all my heart that God has His hand on Brother Thomas, and I eagerly look forward to hearing of many great things as a result.

Thomas Simpson is a young man that has the call of God on his life.  It has been my privilege to see him grow and develop over the last few years during his college and graduate training.  He has a wide range of experience in the ministry.  He will be a blessing from the pulpit and with his music.  The crowning quality is his heart for God.  He cares about people and it will exciting to see how God uses him in the future.

It was a joy to watch Thomas serve in our children's ministry during our fall special meetings. He does a wonderful job connecting with kids and keeping their attention, which is definitely not easy to do! Thomas showed obvious joy in ministry and a heart for serving the Lord, and his calling to ministry was very evident as he served here.

A number of kids made decisions as a result of Thomas's messages, and he clearly presented the truth of God's Word in a way that the children could easily understand and apply to their lives. He used many effective teaching tools to engage the kids, which was clear evidence of his experience in teaching kids. Thomas paid attention to details and was very prepared. He skillfully led music in the adult service before coming in to lead music in the kid's program. He easily made the switch to lead in a way to keep the kids engaged in the singing.

Thomas has a clear calling to serve the Lord, and God has gifted him to do so effectively with adults, children, and teens. While I only saw him in a preaching role with children, he certainly connected well with the adults and teens at our church as well. I would recommend Thomas for any ministry seeking someone with a heart to joyfully serve the Lord with fervency.

In Isaiah 6:8 we find Isaiah responding to the Lord’s question “who will go for us”. Isaiah responds, “Here am I; send me.” Later we find Samuel responding with the same answer to the Lord’s calling him four different times – “Here am I”. God called unto Moses when he saw him turn aside unto the burning bush and Moses responded, “Here am I”. We find that Jacob answered the Lord with the same – “Here am I”. Those who have served the Lord throughout scripture are known to have a servant’s heart.

In Exodus 35:5 we see the Lord asking from “whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring an offering of the Lord.” Thomas Simpson has presented himself to the Lord in a similar way, “Here am I Lord, I am willing in my heart to serve you in whatever manner you would choose”. I have watched Thomas grow up from a young man into a young adult man. He has offered himself to the Lord and has given evidence that he is willing to do what the Lord would ask of him. I encourage you to consider allowing him to serve your ministry in whatever manner you would deem needed.

As a young evangelist myself, I like to keep my eye out for young men who are serious about God’s calling on their lives to go into evangelism. I have watched many young men say that they feel called into evangelism, but few manifest or follow God’s calling on their lives into the ministry of the evangelist. Thomas has manifested God’s calling on him to be an evangelist and has followed it, undistracted by other “attractions.” I have been privileged to mentor Thomas a bit in the last few years, and God’s calling on his life into evangelism is evident. I have been privileged to hear him preach and watch his ministry, and your church will be helped by Thomas’s preaching and his demeanor. He is humble and considerate, and the folks at your church will receive great help for their walk with God from Thomas’s preaching. I think you will be glad that you had Thomas in to minister at your church.
